My library has been out 2 weeks and books are moving! The signage lets users know that it’s legit!
My father in law and I made my library out of repurposed barn wood along with a tin roof and stained glass door. We added twinkle lights for night time browsing now that it’s fall.
I was so excited to have my own LFL, I actually put it up before my official plaque arrived the 1st week of Sept '26. We have to check 3-4 times daily to keep stocked and organized :) We even have night time visitors holding flashlights. We have met people from all over our neighbourhood. Grandparents with grandbabies, Empty-nesters, visiting Uni students, Kids walking to and from school and even immigrants just learning english. Everyday is exciting.
So much fun and joy putting my little free library together!
Building and stocking our LFL has been a rewarding experience. Its gratifying to see our neighborhood so enthusiastic about it

My Library is very popular in our neighborhood. I especially enjoy seeing the children’s books check out quickly and people leaving books in return.
The charter sign makes my library stand out and looks professional, I also placed a solar light above the library.

Love the little library app. I wish more used it. The concept is unique for anyone that likes to read.
I love the charter kit I received from Little Free Library! I added it to my custom made library and am having so much fun being a steward.
Apsley St neighbors dedicated our Little Free Library (LFL) on July 4th, 2026. It was dedicated in honor of our deceased friend and neighbor Nick Roush. He was a reader, educator, social worker and community activist. The library sits in the middle of our block in front of the Roush home. Neighbors old and new came out for the dedication. Since that day people have been receiving and adding books.
We are so proud not only of our Little Library but likewise the label that provides our unique charter number!
Really happy joining this community
I am having a lot of fun taking my grandson with me when I hunt for children’s books. He is an avid reader so we hunt for books he loves and we have quite a collection to share with others
